Ok except I need a decoder to use it. Can you advise on any. I use Data comms with my Amateur Radio station but of course all that software only needs an interface to get them to work. A shame really as I was looking forward to a bit weather data.

Brilliant concept. If I wanted a current picture of weather conditions around the UK and Europe I had to use the aviation Volmet. I didn't realise that NOAA was gathering this data worldwide in the same format. MetarWeather lets me pick this info up almost realtime and perfectly suitable for my needs.

Good overview
I've only tested it a couple of days, but it seems to give me agood overview very fast, compared to how I used to look for METAR info. It is also possible to share the decoded information with others not familiar with METAR coding. Would be nice with a simple graphical layout in the background with the METAR stations plotted at their correct location.

Good vanilla
METARWeather does all it promises flawlessly... but in a clinical, technical way. I was looking for something to monitor only my home gliding airfield, and get an at-a-glance overview of the current weather situation. I've seen METARWeather work, and now decided to write my own tailored program.

Good weather data at a glance
No fancy graphics, just pure weather data. At the same time it would be nice to be able to have a small window you could customize with link to a NOAA weather map or something like that. Another thought: hurricane watch links, etc. Also, for those of us in coastal areas, tide information would be good but that might not qualify as weather.
Anyway, nice little program nonetheless. It allows me to monitor weather conditions in a variety of cities where I have family and other interests. Nice work.
